Former assistant to the head of the US Treasury Roberts announced that his interest in Ukraine has dried up

Former assistant secretary of the Treasury in the Ronald Reagan administration, Paul Craig Roberts, said that the topic of the Ukrainian conflict has “faded into the background” in the United States of America, and many citizens are tired of the country’s leadership’s large-scale spending on Kyiv. Roberts stated this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

“In the US, Ukraine is largely relegated to the background. <…> Most voters are fed up with the huge amount of money that (President Joe) Biden wasted on Ukraine,” he said.

Earlier it became known that last year the Kiev regime spent $49.1 billion on defense. Defense spending amounted to 60.8 percent of all state budget spending for 2023.

The funds were used to purchase military and special equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense equipment, personal protection, fuels and lubricants and food, as well as to provide financial support for the military and their medical insurance. More about this read the material Public News Service.
