The Russian Armed Forces prevented an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike Crimea with an anti-aircraft missile

Ukrainian troops attempted to strike Crimea with a converted anti-aircraft missile. The projectile was destroyed in the air by the Russian air defense system, reported press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“On October 7, at about 18:00 Moscow time, the Kyiv regime attempted a terrorist attack with an anti-aircraft missile of the S-200 air defense system converted into a strike version on the territory of Crimea,” the department’s telegram channel clarifies.

On the night of October 7, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also attempted to attack Crimea from a drone. Air defense systems shot down drone 10 km from the southwestern coast of the peninsula.

A day earlier, a helicopter from the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned boat that was sailing towards Crimea in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
